About Us

The Baltimore County Family Child Care Association (BCFCCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for family child care educators. Since our formal establishment in June 1983, BCFCCA has served as a trusted resource for professionals committed to providing high-quality care and early learning experiences for children and families.

Our mission is to strengthen the family child care profession through professional development, networking, leadership opportunities, advocacy, and collaboration. We work closely with family child care educators, community partners, and early childhood advocates to address issues affecting children, families, and the child care workforce while promoting excellence in home-based early education.

BCFCCA provides members with access to training opportunities, industry updates, resources, mentorship, and a supportive community of professionals who share a passion for early childhood education. Through our efforts, we strive to elevate the profession, empower educators, and improve outcomes for the children and families we serve throughout Baltimore County and beyond.

In addition to supporting educators, BCFCCA serves as a valuable resource for families seeking quality child care. We assist parents in connecting with registered family child care programs that meet their unique needs, helping them find nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environments where their children can learn and grow.

As the needs of children, families, and educators continue to evolve, BCFCCA remains committed to being a strong voice for family child care. We invite educators, families, and community partners to join us as we build connections, advocate for positive change, and support the growth and success of family child care throughout our community.

Together, we are shaping the future of early childhood education—one child, one family, and one educator at a time.
